To most people, a floor mat is just a commodity. The thought of designing one seems simple, almost mundane. But in reality, the process of designing these mats pushed me to hone my SolidWorks skills in ways I never imagined. I quickly realized that if I could design a floor mat and make it both functional and visually interesting, I could design anything.

+ During my time at Remington Industries, I designed and developed more than 75 unique floor mats, transforming a seemingly simple product into a canvas for innovation.

Using Rubbermaid's style guide, I designed a mat that releases scent during use, aligning seamlessly with the Rubbermaid brand's values and product offerings.

When I joined the Remington team I took on the responsibility of updating their Rubbermaid mat line. Using Rubbermaid's style guide I gave the mats a softer more elegant design which spoke more to the brand.

MotoMaster, a Canadian Tire brand and one of Remington's valued customers, inspired a custom line of mats that I designed. These mats were built with a rugged aesthetic, featuring a raised border and deep topography to effectively trap liquids, mud, snow, and debris.

The Michelin universal fit mats have evolved over the years but consistently represented performance and durability. Made from all-weather rubber, these mats offer superior durability and stain resistance, while the anti-slip nib backing system ensures they stay securely in place.
